Russell J. Banks Male Seventeen Homosexual None Le Rim Played by Suga | ★ Appearance ★
Fair black hair is cut short enough to allow sea blue eyes to show. Russell is a 6'0" young man with a sturdy build, and an owner of broad shoulders and smooth, ivory skin. Athletic, he is toned and checks in at roughly 194 lbs. Years of plucking away at the strings of a battered guitar has left his hands rough. (Ironically, the boy is more of a classical music fan, and plays the violin far more frequently.) Russell smells of vanilla.
A simple kid in regards to the world of fashion, Russell is satisfied wearing a mere plain white tee, jeans, and tennis shoes.
★ Personality ★
Many teens find themselves royally pissed off at the world, and, well, Russel James Banks is no exception. He feels wronged. Due to his powers, mixed in with his battle of trying to have a stronger handle over said powers, he's had to isolate himself from others to a certain extent. He is no social recluse by any means, but his hot-headed personality has made things complicated when his power is triggered by such emotion. Hard to impress, Russell tends to place himself on a pedestal. Holding himself above others, he can be quite the narcissist.
Growing up in a perfectionist household, he has inherited the trait himself. Stress ensues after he deems something below his impossible standards of perfection. He often pushes himself in his sports, dying to be the best of the best. This ultimately ties in with his overbearing sense of competitiveness as well, always trying to prove his worth in the smallest of areas.
Russell isn't all doom and gloom. He has a gentle side beneath the whole tough exterior. To friends, he is almost like a mother hen. Stern, but warm. Caring deeply for those he loves, overprotective is a wonderful adjective when describing the seventeen year old boy.
Blunt, he doesn't distort his words to prevent others from getting hurt. He is a fan of letting everything out. He'd rather be known for his honesty, even if cruel sometimes, than a continuous liar.
★ History ★
Catherine Andrews was nothing more than a waitress at a local bar in a small town who wanted nothing more than a simple life, yet after work one night, she found herself in the embrace of Zion Banks, wealthy banker traveling through. Nine months later, she gave birth to Russell. Few minutes passed before Catherine sucked in her last breath. Zion was contacted and within a day, Russell was placed into his care. However, his father was less than pleased to have the bastard in his hands. Still, he minimally did what a father should do; he provided. Growing up as a child, he faced a stony, cool, loneliness. He spent his days pouring his heart into classical music. His fingertips would graze the cold, smooth piano keys, and the sturdy, reliable bow of a violin. As he hit the age of seven, a step-mother was introduced into the family. The Banks manor was filled with the loving atmosphere of a mother. Within the span of five years, the Banks' family welcomed three daughters into the household. Helen, Greta, and Portia.
Not minding living in a house chalk full of females, Russell spent more of his time taking care of his siblings. It was also around this time, his odd aggression became noticeable. Whenever he was enraged, he would punch the brick exterior walls of the house repeatedly and afterwards, claim to not have felt anything at the time. Outbursts became more and more frequent, at one point, Russell almost strangled his father to death. Deeming him a threat to the entire family, a second wing to the manor was built solely for him to live in as he was kept under constant watch. Enrolling in Le Rim was the perfect excuse for his father to ship him off.
★ Ability ★
Russell possesses a feral mind that he can tap into willingly or, at times, unwillingly. This ability allows him to delve into an unstoppable rage. He can dish out and soak in more pain than he would be able to in a normal state of mind. When in a feral state of mind too long, he starts to become little more than an animal in his nature of thinking. Depending on the level of his rage, he can not always decipher friend from foe and may attack someone non-hostile to him. It is not uncommon for him to forget what he's done in his rage. Lastly, feeling anger in a normal state of mind can trigger his feral mind. Jealousy can invoke some minimal rage as well.
